Question Cowl Hood

Do Harwood cowl hoods fit good? i.e. any alignment problems?
What about the latch area it is re-enforced?
Is a 3" or 4" hood too big?

One thing I can't stand is some schmo with a near stock engine
driving around with a 5 inch cowl hood.
(Not saying you're a schmo...)
Unless you need the clearance, I'd say stay around 2 inches... make a statement... with your blower...

I could not agree more I do not like guys driving around with huge hoods! I was just wondering if the 3 inch hood is too big because on the Jegs website I did not see Harwood hoods listed in the 2 inch cowl.

I still want to know about Harwoods fit and finish.

Is the rear of the cowl open or is it closed off with screens providine air?

Check on line. I have a Cincinnatti Composite and love mine. Just a thought.

Local guy has a 4-banger with a 4 inch cowl hood. He wanted to race me really bad so I thought I was going to get smoked by some big v8. I crossed the 1/4 mile looked in my rearview and he was about half way done.

You must be the ONLY one.

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT BUY FROM CINCINNATTI COMPOSITE

Do a search for posts about them here, you'll find nothing but bad stuff.

Agree!!!

Cervini and Harwood are the two best companies out there for the best fit.... just remember, you get what you pay for.

I say get whatever you want, it may be kind of stupid to get a bigger hood than you need but your the one paying for it and driving around with it on your car. I think the 5inch extended cowl hoods look bayad, but how many people really NEED that big/long of a hood?

I could provide a lot of local guy stories myself, everytime I see one I think to myself, "wtf is this guy thinking?".

hahaha! a few months back, i saw a fox with a 4 inch cowl and welds w/275's (i think) on the back. i stopped and looked at it. 4 cylinder auto about 10 days later, i see it parked at a local hangout. i pull up and the owner is talkin' **** to all the hondas and they are scared. i ask the guy to start it and he refuses. he wouldn't run me for money either

I guess no one here is a Cincinatti Composites fan. Am I the only one in the world that is happy with there hood. I compared mine to a buddies Cervini Stromin Norman hood and his looked lilke it was made by a drunk blind man. It does not fit at all. My CC hood fits better than my stock hood. I guess it is the luck of the draw.

I guess its the luck of the draw. I have a Cervini's hood on my 89 GT and the shop that painted it said it fit like original equipment. It fits great and I love it. I recomended Cervini to my buddy for his 88LX and it looks like crap.
