Question Cold Air Induction

Hey Guys and Girls,

What brand would be the best to go with? What kind of HP should I expect to gain? and over all what do you all think about this mod. By the way I have a 2000 GT. THANKS!

Hey Mandy, I have a MAC on my Cobra. Cost me $150 and they claim it adds 10-12 HP. I did notice a difference but all I have is seat-of -the-pants. BBK also makes a good one. You definately do not want to run an open filter element inside the engine compt. I tried it and it definitely hurt performance. Hope this helps...

MAC ALL THE WAY!
Cost me about 175 for a 99 GT.

I also heard K&N has a setup but it sucks in hot air b/c the box is open in the engine compartment. The filter is good but not the setup.

I made one for my car and lost power plus I've seen at least two others lose power on the dyno using the MAC set-up. Plus the Cobra's seem to respond better to this mod.

MAC on mine paid $180. Car ran much better and did 13.96 with only the cold air. So about 2-3 tenths from stock, atleast for me anyway. Bit of a hassle to tighten clamp on air filter but its put in nice location down in fender.
