Dealer Blew My Computer, Because Of My Chip
WHEN I HAD MY 3:73 INSTALLED IN MY 02 GT. THE DEALER WENT INTO THE COMPUTER AND CHANGE THE SETTING FOR SPEEDOMETER, BY TIRE SIZE. IT STILL RAN ABOUT 6 OVER. I INSTALLED A DIABLO CHIP LAST NIGHT AND IT MADE MY SPEEDOMETER RUN ABOUT 20 UNDER. I CALLED MY DEALER AND ASKED IF THEY COULD SET MY SETTING BACK TO MY STOCK TIRE SIZE. HE NEW I HAD A CHIP ON IT AND IT FRIED THE COMPUTER. HE SAID HE SHOULD OF TAKEN IT OUT FIRST. MY QUESTION IS BY HAVING A CHIP, DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO TAKE IT OUT TO PROGRAM, EVEN FOR KEYS. THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM DIABLO DID NOT MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT THAT. ALSO, HAS IT FRIED THE CHIP ANY INFO WILL BE HELPFUL.

Burnt Computer Module
Go to the beginning of the forums and search for "Diablo". There are a lot of threads that bring up a few issues. I was thinking of getting one of these until I started researching it and found a lot of guys/gals having some strange quirks.
Here is a weblink that you can look at. I'd say, Yeah! They fried ya' Boss! Good luck! -Jane of All Trades- http://www.diablosport.com/fordchipins.html |
