![]() Does anyone on this board have any experience with the Diablo chip? If you recall, I'm having an issue with my check engine light even after I installed my new MIL Eliominators on my MAC exhaust system. I've decided to break down and get the chip. Do these chips really increase HP and or torque? I've read in a few magazines that they really don't do a whole heckuva lot so I'm a little skepticle. I'm also wondering if anyone knows if this will correct my speedo as I installed 3:73s a while back? Thanks in advance for the help.

![]() Im pretty sure the new chip will fix new tire sizes and gear sizes, but Im not positive.
Also, you should diconnect the battery and wait a few minutes and see if the check engine light goes off. I did this just the other day and the light hasent come back on for about a week. Also if you have been running premium gas try running a few tanks of regular gas, this might help also. The chip is good for an automatic transmission b/c it makes it shift better and at differnt points. It will add about 10 or so HP. Hope this helps, Bob

Don't have much experience with the Diablo chip. I'd call Dallas Mustang (1-800-MUSTANG) and ask for Hector. He should be able to give you the details....

![]() Thanks guys, I'm actually on my second tank of Mobil 87 octane. I also have totally disconnected my new MIL Eliminators from my O2 sensors and disconnected the battery for about 4 hours. If the check engine light comes on again, I'll just break down and spend the $250 although, I hate to do this, since I'll have to reburn another chip next spring when I put my supercharger on. I'll let you guys know how I make out.

I have had my Diablo in my car since I bought it. I love it. I did notice a pretty big difference. It will take care of those gears (speedo calibration), it will also take that engine light off and it will also advance your timming to about 15 or 16 degrees. I like this chip because you don't need to buy the box for the speedo clibration and you don't need to buy the MIL for the H-Pipe and you don't need to buy the Steeda Timming Adjuster because the chip does it all. When you get the Supercharger you can get Diablo to program it just the way you want it. The chip can be re-programmed custom to your needs. NOS, BOOST whatever. I've got nothing but good things to say about that chip. Last year before putting my stang in storage, I took the chip out. When I took my stang out this year, I drove it a while before putting the chip back on. WHen I did put the chip back on, I did notice a big diffrence in throtlle response, and Top End gains.
