Default Did I just screw up?

I have a question for all you guys. I went to a muffler shop and had them cut out the stock mufflers and weld in a pair of flowmaster 40 series which are 2 1/2. Now me being dumb forgot that the stock is 2 1/4.My question is will an off road h pipe that is 2 1/2 bolt up to the exsiting stock exaust or did i really screw my self by not buying the cat back exaust system. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

have them weld it. unless you wanted to switch it or something, then you're probably screwed.

The 2 1/2" h-pipe will bolt up fine.

1989GT is right. I've got a 2-1/2" X-pipe bolted up to my stock 2-1/4" GT catback with Magnaflows welded in.
