Does anyone have a Monster Tach?
Just curious if they can only be hooked up to a 5.0 and not a 4.6.

Hey I have a 99 GT also, on Corral I read that if you wanna make the Tach work, you have to send in your Tach and et it setup to where it has a selection for 1 cycle instead of the 4-6-8 selection but if you come up with something easier please let me know. Cause I already installed a AutoMeter 5' tach I'd hate to take it out. I ran the wires under the corner of the dash by the inspection sticker

Go to the Ford garage and ask them which wire your stock tach runs off of. You will have to dig through the wires that lead into the computer and splice into the correct one. The mechanics at Ford can tell you what color of wire to splice into. My 97 was orange with a white stripe.

The is a good tech article on the corral that tells you what wires to use. Everything hooks up to the wires on the instrument panel plugs. Takes about an hour.
Hope this helps. |
