Question Dont 99+ GT's have Alunimum drive shafts?

While putting my H-pipe on I noticed something. Minor surface rust on the Drive Shaft. I thought that was interesting since 99+ GT's are supposed to have alunimum drive shafts, and last time I checked, Alunimum doesnt rust, it fogs, even though its still a form of oxidation.

My other friends with 99+ GT's have alunimum drive shafts, and they came that way, unless there pulling my chain. I swear I remember reading that all new GTs have alunimum drive shafts.

Does anyone know about the drive shafts? If there supposed to, I'm curious to know why mine has a steel one.

Question

Mercury, sorry to go OT, but your 99 GT didn't come with an H-pipe? My 2000 did. Just curious.

Red face

I should have read more carefully. I now also see you have a 2K not a 99.
