They're looking to cover all the bases. Say the dyno roller locks up while your car is under full load, that's your risk. If the car falls off, still yours.

Fact is, stuff breaks. Just because you're on the dyno when it does, doesn't make it their fault. With this litigous society, I wouldn't be surprised if part of the release has to do with you dying while they're messing with the car.
