Post Traction Control

I have a 2000 GT Convertable with traction control. Can anyone tell me how the traction control effects the performance of the car.

Also how long should I wait to really push the car. I am at 600 miles now.

The traction controll only kicks on when it finds wheel slip.when it turns on youll see a light of a green wheel come on in the ins cluster.Mine only comes on with wheel hop in a turn or in the rain. You can turn it off for when you wanna race, but it might help with wheel spin if you leave it on.
I took it easy on mine for about 500 miles then I tried not to do too much till over 1K.but i've also heard different break in advice.

Personally I would wait a little longer, but I'm sure some other people will tell you differently. I tend to be very conservative about these sort of things.

Just make sure your engine is warm before hand, and you are probably all right.
