Fog lamp burnt out too soon
Has anyone had a problem with thier fog lamps burning out really quick? I've had my Stang for less than a month. I don't know how long the light was out the first time, but I replaced it after about two weeks. A week later, the same one was burnt out. Both times the bulb was shattered like it was hit or exploded.

Try not to touch the glass part of the bulb. I'm not sure but I think that the grease and oil from your fingers can cause the bulb to break when it gets hot.
Any other ideas? ------------------ '96 Cobra '86 5.0 LX [This message has been edited by RedTwilight (edited 02-14-2000).] |

its not the grease thing. i went through the same problem in my 95 and at one point put them in with this surgical precision and they still did it. it might be water. but after about 5 in each lamp i got a good pair and they lasted quite awhile.
