Found some horsepower

I just changed my OE wires out for some Motorsport 9mm's. Noticed shaking it down that there was more power and better response.

I'm pretty sure that it was all due to the fact that the wires that came off had Motorcraft 1997 stamped on them, and not the change from 8 to 9. Just wish I had done that BEFORE going to the track last weekend.

Any time you do anything to your car that may make it even a thousanth of a second faster, Its time for a trip to the track.

I thought you knew that;)

lol, the thread's title made me think that you found horsepower like finding loose change in the sofa...hehe :D...."yea! there was 10hp just sitting in an old pair of jeans!".... :D

You may not have found any extra horsepower, but you might be seeing better throttle response.... which just might be a small difference in ET.

Ford Motorsport 9mm are good wires.
I use 'em on the yellow meanie....:D

I have found a surefire way to get as much horsepower as I want... I lighten my wallet by taking all of that paper and plastic stuff out and trading it in on performance parts. That works for me. The only problem is that my esophagal intake has been running a little lean.

My attempt at humor.

I figure any increase in HP there actually was at the crank was due to the weak firing caused by the old wires. Now I gladly let all 215 mighty ponies run, which I am going to do right now on my way home. :D

I got blue ones too, they look cool.

Im curious to know how u make 450 horse from yer 98 GT. That plastic intake u have has loads of potential, those heads flow an absolute ton also.....:D

i myself use holley laser shot wires they are oe fit and have just 50 ohm resistance per foot alot less than the motorsport and they cost less mines were $80.00 i have everthing else ford racing though the stock coil packs suck get msd of acell much better.

i can`t believe somebody doubted the yellow jacket power
