Question FRPP wires solid or spiral core???

MSD suggests not to use a solid core wire with the msd6a box, and after I put it on my radar detector is picking up something from the ignition and won't work right. I have frpp 9mm wires that are about a year old. If the frpp wires are solid core then thats probably the problem. Are the msd spiral core wires any good?

According to Ford Racing the wire sets for the 5.0L engines are spiral core.
