Default G-Tech unit on HP, anyone try? But read cause I did a search....

I am not a newbie so yes I did a search on g-tech on here and I couldnt really find one that said about horsepower cause it can measure that all I found was its about 3 mph higher on 1\4 times but is pretty good so about how much would it be off on measuring horsepower cause there like 70 bucks on ebays so I might as well get one, thanks

They suck at measuring HP. According to the G-tech my 01 cobra makes as much HP as an 03 cobra.

But it gets my 1/4 mile dead on.

i found this online http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/hitech/gtech1.htm from mustangworld. they say that it can measure hp to within +/- 3hp, and that the specs they list are the "REAL WORLD" expectations, not the lab ones. they actually did a pretty good review of the unit (although i dont own one to compare), and made me wanna buy one (are they endorsed by g-tech? ). possibly the accuracy varies from car to car, since Dark_5.0 did not have such good luck with his HP reading. either way you can check the link out, hope it helps

I have heard different things from different people on the G-Tech Pro meter. I just bought the original G-Tech Pro meter (not the Comp). It should be here some time this week. My plans are to schedule a chassis dyno run at a shop and compare the Gtech #'s to the dyno #'s.
