Thumbs down Gear Ratio vs. VIN

Can I tell the factory gear ratio my 2002 Mustang GT came with from my VIN number. If not how do I find it on the car without jacking it up and rotating the rear end while counting the revolutions? Let me know if there is a more sophisticated way to accomplish the same thing.

Thanks,

Default Re: Gear Ratio vs. VIN

Check the door sticker. There is an axle code on the sticker. If the gears haven't been changed, there should be a little aluminum tag on one of the rear cover bolts that has the ratio too.
