Post Gears 3.55 or 3.73

I have a mustang cobra and i use it as a day driver and street racing.

Would it be a better idea for me to get 3.55 Gears or 3.73 gears and what are the advatages and Disadvantages of each, if any.

Thanks for your time and have a great day.

Neither.

For a Cobra, 4.30's or 4.56's.

Wow i am for sure not getting any gears over 3.73 i am not looking for nothing that high. And suggestions about the gears i named and why do you feel that those are appropriate gears to get. The ones you mentioned? thanks and have a great day.

You already have 3.27's and 4v's love to rev. Anything less than at least 4.10's in your cal will be a waste of money. If you were really a racer you'd go with one of my original recommendations.

Heck, I know guys running 4.88's in your car.

It depends on the size of the rear-end. 8.8's end up with 4.10's. It is Ford 8" and 9" that has a 4.11 ratio.

Like the others said, go with 4.10s minimum for a 4V. The 4V powerband is much higher than a 5.0 or even a 2V so you need the extra gear. You will only lose 1-2 mpg on the highway and your revs won't be that high. It's not like an old non-overdrive tranny where you have a 1:1 ratio in your highest gear.
You won't lose any speed on your top end either. You'll be able to do over 120 in 4th and actually pull 5th.

The GT 4.10s are a good all around gear...I have 4.10s with a blower
