Default Gears

Is there a way to tell what gear ratio is set on your mustang gt.

You can jack the car up and spin the rear wheels or something like that. Try a search if nobody responds here. Or you can remove the rear end housing cover and the gears ratio is stamped on the pinion in plain view.

What you do is jack the back of the car up and put a mark on the drive shaft and tire. Spin the tire and count how many times the driveshaft goes around in rotation of the tire and that if you gear ratio.

If you're sure they are the stock gears you can also check for the little metal tag under one of the diff cover bolts - if it's there that will tell you.
