All I'll can say is the foreign car manufacturers know how to build Sport Sedans. I work at a Nissan/BMW dealership, and I get to drive some great cars, and I'll tell you, that there are no American Sport sedans the can compete. Well, come to think of it, I can't even name any American sports sedans.
There are people who have families, but don't want to give up their sports car quite yet. So a 255 HP Maxima is the perfect comprimise. The new Altima is no slouch either. Its a 14sec car with the manual trans (240hp 3.5L,) has plenty of room for 4 adults, and cuts corners pretty well too. The Acura CL and TL Type S's (260HP) are pretty sweet too.
I personally think that all this HP happiness is great. Granted, the line between sports cars and family sendans are getting blured, but I just hope that the American car companies don't miss the boat. Apparently Chevy is bringing over the Holden Monero, but Ford is still stuck on this whole SUV and truck thing. Wake up Ford!!!!!!
