Thanks, I'll check it out. I used to have a 1991 Gt with big time mods and am looking to get back into it. This might be my chance.

Also check out kelly blue book. For the Orlando area that price is a little steep.

That car would be very nice, but if you're looking to get back into serious modding, meaning going seriously fast, you need to keep in mind how big a hole youre starting in with a 97 GT vert. The 96-97 Gt's were some of the slowest production stangs of the 90's, and its a heavy vert to boot. Again, that car would be sweet for cruising, but I had a 97 and they are not that fast. Also, the plastic intakes will explode, it happens to a lot of the 96-97's. I don't know exactly what you can afford, but Id get either a 99-01 GT, or a 96-98 Cobra. Either way, good luck with your decision.

If he can afford a 97GT Vert for $15.5K, then he can afford a 96-97 Cobra coupe in the same price range...

Well, I would almost bet that the insurance on a 97GT Vert is as much if not more than a 97 Cobra.
My insurance only went up $26/mo from a 96GT to a 97 Cobra. |

The guy was trading in the Vert and was gettng $15.5K from the Dealer. I was not in the market yet but I have had earlier years in the past. I just thought for a great deal I would jump on it. I want only a Convert. and plan on lowering maybe light body/motor mods. I am not interested in coupes at this time. Thanks for the input

I would definately recomend you try and find a 96/97 mustang cobra for that kind of money. If you look around you kind find some really good deals. I have a 96 mustang cobra I bought about 6 months ago with 20,000 miles on it, and I payed less than 16k for it out the door.
