Thumbs up Got my exhaust on

Well, I finally got my Borla side pipes finished and installed and it sounds purdy cool. I took it all around town over all the speed bumps and dips that I could find and as of yet I have had no clearance issues. The sound is good and deep but not overly loud - I like it A LOT. Anyway, I was just happy so I thought I'd share.

On a side note, do I need to reset the computer since it is a completely different pipe setup? Or does it even matter since the H Pipe is still stock?

Cool

Thanks for the replies guys. If tomorrow is a slow day I'll try to get some stuff posted. I work in video production so i've got all the necessary goodies to get some sound, video, and new pics (cool... i'll get paid while i'm using my company's equipment to screw with my Stang!) I know the pipes aren't the end-all be-all or anything, but they are different and have turned quite a few heads since they've been on. I'm pretty pumped.

Congrats, Stefan. Glad to hear you got it installed with no problems and are happy with it.
I would only reset the puter if you get a CE light, which I doubt you will since you haven't yet. How 'bout some pics?

I would love to hear what it sounds like. But just to echo what's already been said one more time, unless you have a light or some sort of noticable problem there is no reason to reset the computer.

Cool

I'll try to get some stuff posted as soon as I can. That's cool, I won't worry about the computer - had to ask though. Man, i'm sure it's just mental (as just doing the muffs is basically a "sound" mod) but it just seems to want to pull a tad more. If anything it doesn't seem as labored up in the higher revs. 1-2 HP maybe? Hey, I need all I can get on the first gen. 4.6

Just testing my "reduced" sig. Just ignore this - although I am still working on getting my pics up when the weather warms up a tad.

Cool

Well, I finally got a chance to post some pics of the pipes. These are quick and dirty (digital cam, lunchbreak, filthy car, etc.) so no critiquing I just wanted to get something up for reference until I can do something nice. I'm working on a website so I will post a sound file there when I get it done.
