I had one in my 86 and I loved it. It worked great for street racing. I changed to T-5 so I had to sell it.

stock cable??
I heard that it usies the stock cable is this true. The reason for asking is I switched to an aod from a mark VII and my shifter will either get park and no 1st or 1st and no park .I need something adjustable.I thought about putting washers in between the cable bracket and housing to space the cable back I am only about a 1/2 "from having enuff play.

Cool, I really didn't think that anyone had ever used one, so this is good. Do any of you have pics of them in your cars? I would really like to see how it looks in a 94-02 mustang.
LOCASH and Mach 1, did you guys like the way it shifted? Do you always have to pull up on the lever to shift from 1-3? Is it plastic or metal? What is replaced with the shifter? How hard was it to install? I like the idea of it and would like to know more about it. Thanks guys. Take it easy. -Billy

Its metal, the lever is only used for reverse and park lock out, you only pull it up to go into reverse. You just slam the other gears (ratchet action, meaning you slam it and it only changes one gear at a time)
I have a pic of it on my car page. click the link below And it does use the stock cable. You can also use it for a c4 with an optional B&M cable |

I have one in my 89. I love it, looks great and feels better then the stock shifter. Just make sure when you have your car inspected, you show the attendant how to use it. The guy who inspected my car was banging on it, I thought he was going to rip it out of the console. Anyway heres a pic of it in my car.

Sounds awesome guys. Acouple more q's. Can you move the handle to fit you better? I noticed that HiFlow5 0's shifter handle is turned more towards the drivers seat. Also, when you put it into 1st gear, do you push it down or up for 2nd gear? And lastly, have any of you ever seen one of these shifters in a 94 or new mustang? Thanks for the input guys.
Oh, and HiFlow5 0, your car looks great. -Billy

I waited 2 years for that shifter to become available for the 94! About the time it came out, I switched to a 5 speed.
As good as it looks in every other car, I would assume they have a professional look in the 94. I would be curious to see what they do with the O/D button though. andy

Yes you can adjust the angle of the handle with the lock nut underneath, I just find it more comfortable to have it angled that way my wrist is in a more straight direction. It shifts in the same order as the stock shifter, but in rachet form with a reverse lockout. I know B&M makes a shifter handle with a button on the side of it, so that would work with an overdrive switch on newer mustangs.

Thanks HiFlow5 0. How long have you had your shifter? DO you manually shift it all of the time? Was it hard to hook up? Is it hard to get used to? Thanks man.
