you dont need the cam holding tool! get a ford service manual though! The cams will rest in the position they are supposed to be in! Then when you put the chains on you only need to rotate them slightly to line them up! the service manual shows it pretty clearly. as for the gasket you would need a really really thick one to make any diff. in compression ratio. meaning i don't think there is such a thing. i allways used factory ones but? $800 isn't too bad of a price imho. it is alot of work. If it's your first one plan on 3 days. not real hard just time consuming!
