![]() It's been a while since I've posted here, but I have definitely been lurking. I have some money coming back from my income tax and I am looking to get some stuff for my 92 GT.
I did some searches and additional research and I've decided that I want to get the Dynomax Ultra flows. I am looking for best performance while keeping her as quiet as possible. I would really like to the whole exhaust replaced, headers on back. I've considered longtubes, but it seems like just a little too much trouble for a daily driver. Are equal or unequal shorty's the way to go, and which is the best brand for a daily driver? I'm in deep South Texas so emissions is not a problem. I've already cut out that cats, plugged the heads and removed the smog pump. I plan to move up to either a TFS or Explorer intakes, then heads, then cam. I haven't bumped the timing since she is a daily driver, and the price of premium would eat me up for the distance I have to drive everyday. I do have Auto Specialties crank and W/P pulleys and a black Magic Electric Fan. I've removed the air silencer and upgraded to a 130 amp alternator. I'm too embarassed to put these measly little mods in my sig. Thanks for any and all advice. |

![]() Daily driver huh. So is mine but I have 4.10 gears ported p heads. Anyway my point is that power is fun. I think. If it was me i would go with the long tubes. But I like to have the best of the best. You will be getting more power and a wider power range. Anyway whats an extra 100 bones these days when it is going for something that makes your smile so wide?
Sure its a bit more work to get them on (losen the motor mounts and jack the engine up) but the difference is worth it. At very least go with the equal length shorties. Dont puss out! haha just joking! chillin -stng

![]() I might get flamed on this and they are a pain to put in and they don't use the ball ans socket flange like everybody elses but i have had good luck with the Hooker Super Comps they are a little more expiensive and they aren't as easy to put in but they have always made good pwer for me and been worth the extra work.

![]() I've heard great things about the BBK shorty equal length headers and H-pipe (with or without catalytic converters), so that's what i'd recommend. A friend of mine has BBK equal lengths, offroad-H pipe and flowmasters (2 chamber) and it sounds great, although kind of loud. Dynomax Super Turbos would be quite a bit quiter than the 2 chamber flows. I've never heard 3 chamber flowmasters on a mustang, but apparently they're quiter with the same type flowmaster sound. I have the Flowtech Stinger cat-back, and the exhaust has a great tone, but is VERY quiet. Even without catalytic converters there is no drone on the freeway and it doesn't attract attention from it's noise (unless i'm on the gas
![]() I wouldn't get long tubes because they're a pain to install, the headers and H-pipe all cost more money, and also i've heard of alot of problems with the oxygen sensors not reading correctly because of the position they're mounted in the exhaust (how far downstream they are). Just some things to think about, Good luck.

![]() Thanks for the help.
I think I'll get the BBK Longtubes, matching off road short H, and the cat-back Dynomax ultra flo weld. Does this make sense? |
