HELP! Cobra Peters Out above 6k

Lately I have noticed that when I smash the gas my car pulls hard until I reach around 6000 RPM and then you can feel it instantly let off a little. I mean it still pulls, but you can feel it lose a little power, and it happens instantly. Could this mean it is starving for fuel? I have already installed a new fuel filter and the only mod is a cold air kit.
This is realy starting to annoy me. http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...d/confused.gif
Do you uys have any ideas?????

Is it possible you need to clean your air filter?? I know, 50k miles but still. Maybe something is clogging your air passage. I only say this because of the difference I saw after the K&N install.. just a thought

I have a new K&N that came with my cold air kit. There is only a few hundred miles on it. I am thinking of installing a A/F Ratio meter so I can monitor as a drive. Would running a little lean cause this problem? How about running a little rich? Thanks for the input. http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif

I have the same problem. I put it on a chassis dyno to diagnose the problem. A lot of parts changed with no luck. We had a Roush racing tech check it out. He said valve springs. Did it, no change. Any ideas are welcome.
