Just bought a '99 GT, red. I'm trying to determine the name of the color so I can safely order some scoops. Can anyone tell me how to read the paint code in the VIN? the VIN is 1FAFP42X4XF106326 and here's a pic. Thanks! P.S. 18" wheels and tires are on the way...

color ID....its a device that hooks into your phone line to ID whos calling.

Lasar red, Paint and trim codes are in the drivers side door sticker. I think they are just below the door latch on the door. The dealer can tell you the exact color and and trim/interior specs for the car. the paint codes are not in the VIN.
