Red face HELP! The first REAL problem with my Stang...

Well, I was sitting in my yellow 98 GT waiting for a chance to make a right hand turn with my trusty blinker on....

Then an almighty gremlin attacked, I heard a click come from the right side of the dash, and my right turn signal started to go on and off TWICE AS FAST! The right signal still works (just faster), and the left turn signal and emergency blinkers are still normal. No smoke or any smells to indicate a major electrical problem....
Now I know a lot of rice boys would die for a free mod like this, but does anyone have an idea of what it might be before I take it in for warranty service?

Thanks...

Too bad our cars don't have days where they go twice as fast. Now that would be a trick. I get a weird electrical gremlin once in a while but it's usually the radio that's doing it. If it's not the fuse, bring it in for service but you'll probably hear that the service guy couldn't find anything.

Sometimes my right blinker does the same thing. I thought it was the cold weather making the flasher flip out or something(I doubt thats what is causing yours since your in Texas). Seems like if I cycle the switch several times it makes it stop. It's not the bulb or fuse though.

Well actually it could be a burnt out bulb just check them. Ford and other car mfrs design the blinker to blink fast when one of the bulbs is burnt out as a warning indicator to let you know there is a problem. This is not the only possibility but one of them.

I had the same thing happen on my 96 and replaced the rear blinker and the flashing stoped. On all Fords that I have delt with when the blinker is fast like that it just means you need to replace a bulb.
