help with mods on mod motors

Well guys i finally crossed over into mod motor territory. I just picked up a sweet 02 sonic blue 5sp gt(only 10,000 miles!). I've been into mustangs for years but it has been exclusively fox bodies with 5oh's so now its like im starting over i plan on installing a p1sc procharger after i recover from the down payment but in the mean time what are some good bolt on's? I am also worried about exaust i already priced full 3" at a local speed shop and have always loved 40 series 2chamber flowmasters but i have a friend who has a 01 with off road h pipe and 2 chambers all 2 1/2" and as much as i hate to say it sounds like crap. It sounds good getting on it but when you let off it sounds like the whole exaust is loose and is going to fall off the car(this is not the case we already checked). Anyway beeing a mustang guy the exaust sound is very important to me. Can you guys suggest any combos that you have or have heard? Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks!

Bassani makes the best catback for the 4.6 IMO.

I'm going to run a prochamber and some magnapacks, but I've been too lazy to do it. I'm also to cheap for the bassani. :)

I had that exact setup on my '01 (40 series 2 chamber) and everyone loved the sound of my car. Bassani, MAC and MagnaFlow sound good. Just depends on how aggressive you want:)

I've got 2.5 in. h-pipe(no cats), 2 chamber Flows and I get alot of compliments on how good it sounds. I like the sound but it is almost too loud. some other mustang 4.6 owners in town have the same exhaust and theres aren't as loud as mine but still sound great. some buds of mine claim dynomax sounds best, but I would disagree. Never heard bassani, but I have heard borla, liked it alot. Add BBk underdrives, Upper intake plenum by trick flow, MAC cold air, throttle body, noticeable gains. Comp cams make a nice new range of cams that would work well with those PI heads you have, but they ain't cheap. Before adding procharger, I might consider an intake that is not plastic, the plastic tends to crack and bust under s/c and nitrous applications. Intakes aren't cheap either, the billit off the Bullit has tested good, I think procharger might even make one that would do better. 3.55 to 3.73 gears work great with the 5spd. Ford racing alluminum drive shaft would be nice too.

The best mod for mods IMO is gears. And don't go anything less than 3.90s. I like 4.10s myself.

Go gears first! then work on the exhaust, pullie, chip or S/C.

Surfbeast is right! Gears should be first, I done the gear(3.73) and the exhaust(2.5" h-pipe & 2 chamber flows) at the same time. It really felt like a different car.
