Question Hooking up Rollstop

Has anyone hooked up a rollstop on these new mustangs? I would like to put it in the line coming out of proportioning valve but not sure if ABS pump will let it work or not. So if anyone has some input on thtis would be great.

When I first started to put one on I contacted Sean Hyland. They told me you will have to put one on each front wheel, just wire them to one switch. You cant do it the way you are thinking. I put two on and mine works fine.

When I put the line lock on my 2000 I put it after the ABS and everything works fine. I'm not sure which line it is coming out of the ABS unit, I belive it may be the L1 line but I can go look in the morning. I'm not sure why they would say to use two line locks, but just the one on mine locks both front tires.

You have 1 line in ABS for front then 2 lines out. One for left and right front tires. I'd say you have only left front locked. I guess that could work that way.

Cool, so what your saying is that linelock wont be affected by ABS pump. OK that means I could put it anywhere between proportioning vavle and ABS

Help me out here guys. I've thought about installing one myself but have no experience with brakes (other than changing pads) what all is involved in installing a line lock? With the amount of track abuse my car sees I figure I can help make burnouts a little easier and possibly save wear and tear on the rear breaks. Also the place where your talking about installing the line lock do you have a picture of it or anything?

It's not hard really. If you open your hood and stand infront of car look down to your left. Next to where aircleaner would be you will see the ABS pump by the radiator. The Proportioning valve is right under your master cylinder, locate line between the two for front brakes. Each port will be marked to where they lead to or come from. You may need a short piece of brake line to run from out side of linelock to say ABS pump that way you dont cut and splice lines which can blow out after splicing. Then its just a matter of bleeding front brake lines and hooking wires up to a switch somewhere inside car. It will take me longer to run wires then to hook up linelock to brake line. Now I have my project for saterday

Sounds simple enough. Is there any one brand linelock that is better than others?

Thanks for the info.

Umm I bought a TCI unit from Summit. Hurst also offers a line lock but is a little more money. I'm not to sure who else may make them.
