How fast should a 4.6 gt run 1/4

What should a 98 gt run in the quarter mile and what should the top speed be. Will it cut off at any certain speed.

There's really not a cut and dried answer to that one. A lot depends on the driver. Most stock 98 GTs run low 15s to high 14s on street tires. My guess on mph would be mid to high 80s. 98 GTs that came with 16 inch tires have a top speed limiter set somewhere around 120 - 125 mph. GTs that had the 17 wheel option with Z rated tires have no speed limiter.

Hope this helps.

A speed limiter would not even need to be worried about when talking 1/4 mile stats.

A 5 speed driven well will see high 14's and low to mid 90's for mph. An auto could drop you to low 15's at low 90's for mph.
