HOW TO GET A 96 GT INTO THE 12'S
I HAVE A 96 GT THAT IS STOCK. IT IS A 5 SPEED AND ONLY HAS THE STANDARD EQUIPMENT PLUS KEYLESS ENTRY. I HAVE ABOUT $3500 SAVED AND WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNEW A WAY TO GET INTO THE 12'S WITH THAT AMOUNT OF MONEY.
THE ONLY MODS IT HAS RIGHT NOW IS FULL EXHAUST AND COLD AIR. THANX FOR YOUR SUGGESTIONS! |

Try 3:73 or 4:10 gears, underdrive pulleys, Mass air meter, shifter, ignition, fuel pump , fuel regulator, 125 shot of NOS, and some slicks. Not sure about 12's, but will get close.
Or you could add a nice intercooled supercharger and then keep saving for other mods. |

easiest way is a blower. it will definately get you close.(or nos) harder way is to do a heck of alot to the motor. i.e., heads, cams, intake, and all bolt ons. first is actually cheaper, all though second will only make it even faster when you do supercharge it. good luck and spend wisely

Hmm, gears, good exhaust, lots of patience and fine tuning. Power adder of anykind would easliy help get you to near or into 12's. Maybe try adding a set of 99+ heads, I heard they are alot cheaper to buy then the FRP HIPO's.

I agree with mustang92. Look at his car. 99heads unported and he hit 12's. I say go that route. The 99 heads are only $350each.

Definitely go with a supercharger. ATI to be specific. With the air-to-air intercooler, you'll LOVE the increase. E-mail me for details.
