How hard/easy is it to spin Toyo Proxes FZ4's on a '96GT??

I have a set of Toyo 245/45 ZR17's that I can't hardly spin. Is this common on a stock GT. The car runs good and has good pep, but from a light, I can barely spin em. Just bought the car 2 weeks ago.

Good traction is a GOOD thing, not a bad thing. Don't worry about not spinning your tires; spinning your tires hurts your ET and wears out your tires! But if you want to spin your tires try changing your rear end gears to 4.10s.

He's right, but if you really want to sping your tires let the RPM's go up to 3000 to 4000 or even higher then let go of the clutch and slame and the gas pedal all the way.

Yeah, that sure ought to do it but I forgot to mention it's an AOD.

Thanks,

In that case lightly hold your brakes and floor it.

That odd, my brothers 96 GT spun like crazy. It was a bit$h to lanch

On the way home last night, I noticed the car was clattering. When I originally posted, I had a K&N filter installed. At first I thought I got ahold of some bad gas but, I took the K&N off and put the paper filter back on, after that the car barely clatters at all and will spin em nicely.

Thanks ALL for the replies.
