Post How many cobras(97)?

I found somewhere(I think scoa) that there were only 3088 built in 97, now I can't find that info again. Was there only 3088 built or was that just the converts? Also how do you guys find out which # yours is? Such as 2043 of 3088? Thanx

Cool

My 97 is #572 out of 6,961 coupes. The 3,088 you have is verts.

Call 1-800-FORD-SVT for the info. Give them your VIN# and they will give you your build #. Also, ask for the fax number and fax them your registration, requesting an authentication certificate, and they will mail you a certificate.

Later, Jason

What color you got?

But in 97 there were 6,961 coupes and 3,088 convertables.

That 1-800-call-svt # is great. They are very courteous and very helpful. I have a hardtop, black with black interior. Looks great up until it starts collecting dirt and mud. Water spots suck too on black cars. I'm hunting for a low mileage yellow vert now. Found one but they wanted $27,000 for it. So you know my response.

Thumbs up

My 97 vert is red, black top and black leather. I think there were 461 of those made, the white, tan top and tan leather I was looking at was a bit abused so I got the red one. I noticed only 4 of the white and tan were made tho. Thanx for the info.
