Default How is this possible?????

I read an article in 5.0 mustang about a guy with a 302 that has 325 hp/ 345 lb-ft of torque runs 12.29 in the quarter and still gets 24 mpg with 4.10 gears. Am I missing something here?, or is pretty typical? Thanks

FiveOhPatrol has a 88 LX with a 347 stroker that runs 12.03 on motor and he knocks down 25mpg with 3.73's
