Hp Chip

I was wondering about HP Chips. What are the best chips to get that will also elimanate the Rev limiter and speed limiter?

Also about how much Horespower will i expect to gain

And how much should it cost?

Thanks and have a great day.

I don't know too much about chips, but why do you want to eliminate the rev limiter? Are you trying to blow your engine up again?

P.S. I don't mean to be a ****, but do you have to make a new topic for every little thing? Give folks a chance to answer your questions on your original topic first, they're steering you in the right direction.

when you're done putting the motor together, get a custom dyno tune from a reputable shop. there is no "gain" from tuning perse, it just allows you to get the most from your combo.

I agree with the above

no need to use a chip these days... just get a flasher... just stay away from the power programmer

if you want one get a Xcal2 or the new livewire from SCT

they will cost around 350$

you can get either one from mike post at www.dynotunemp.com and he can load a tune or 2 on it ... plus steering you in the direction you want to go

Retail on the LiveWire is $569.00 (minimum).

Re: Hp Chip

$569 is MAP (minimum advertised pricing). Anyone selling for less than that is violating MAP policies and risks loosing their SCT dealer status. MAP for the XCal2 is $379, same goes there. You can always find things for less via the internet whores, but they won't stand behind you when you really need it. I've had people come to me with the Xcal2 they bought off the internet for $40 less than they could have bought it from me, but then cry when they learn they've got to pay my $100 programming fee (a charge that doesn't apply when the device is bought from us). Check with your dealer before buying anything like this or you may not save any money at all.

Xcal1 and Xcal2 pricing has never gone down, always up.

As far as raping the customers when selling at MAP, how do you figure? Do you know what the dealer pays for the device? Do you know how much it costs to become an authorized SCT dealer? Do you know how much the training costs or how much it costs a dealer for the model year upgrades? The local dealer is the one that is going to be there to support you after the internet wh0re has already taken your hard earned money.
