| shifter The Hurst shifter didn't work. Once installed this morning, it would not go into 1st, 3rd, or 5th gears. 2nd, 4th, and reverse worked fine. I first thought that the stops were too close, but that wasn't the problem. So I took it off and re-used the stock shifter.....yuck!!! |

| the spacer.... I have a '97 GT and i use the Hurst shifter. It should have come with a thin metal spacer, that should be used with a T-45. Other than that, i dont know what to tell ya, it should have worked.. |

| shifter I fogot to mention a pretty important piece of info. The shifter was originally bought for a '83 GT. When I got the '94 a year or so ago, I swiped the Hurst from the '83 and used it on the '94. Now that I have the '96, I tried to use the same shifter. All the catalogs do show different part numbers for the Fox cars. I forgot about its history. Sorry, guys. Thanks for everyone's input. Jake P.S.--The correct Hurst (for '94-up) is on the way! |
