Congrats...
Just make sure you don't come home at 2 AM revving your car up to 5k rpm... There's a kid in an LS1 down the street who does that all the time... drives me insane. Guess he's just pissed because I beat him at a light once...

Glad you like it; like I said, I love mine. If you want louder, you can always do something about those six catalytic converters...

Get gears, 4.10's w/ speedo calibrator. You don't need the calibrator, but you odometer will thank you if you get one. You can get gears installed for about the cost of an h-pipe w/ cats alone.

You think you like your exhaust now, give it about 3000 miles until you break those things in...it sounds really good. About the gears, I bought 3.73's because I heard they were the best for a daily driver 5-speed. I also heard that 4.10's were best for automatics, but would not recommend for a 5-speed. Like I said, depends on how much you drive it and how much you're willing to spend on gas.

I got them from summit for $60 a piece, and meinakee welded them on for me for $70.. What gears come stock in the 02 GT with a 5 speed? I thought i already had 373? Gears would DEFINATLY void warantee, but i'm not gonna let voiding the warantee stop me...but what else is a basic mod i could do? Pulleys? what else?

As basic, you mean not supercharger??? You can put on a bigger throttle body (70mm), and bigger MAF (80mm), you can do pulleys, you can do gears (no, stock is like 2.73 or something), you can do electrical (chip, ignition, spark plugs and wires), and you can also mess with the suspension and control arms for smoother rides. Mustangs are notoriously easy to bolt on 500 horsepower, depending on the amount of money you are willing to spend. Check out Hammer's user ride or 98steedaGt's user ride. I've read both of those and they have done most any kinda mod you can imagine. If you want to know what to do to a car, look at theirs. As far as the warranty...like I said, mine's topped 50K miles, so I wouldn't know what was on a warranty.

nice setup mineralgray, i have the exact same setup as you on my 02 GT. the flows do sound nice. i was going to get the 3.73 gears in mine, it makes the car alot quicker from light to light, but it screws up the speedometer and you need a chip to fix it. with the car still pretty much new and still under warranty for a good while i'm gonna hold off on any further mods. but, 3.73 gears are definitely the best starting place for mods. after that you could try under drive pullies, steeda or mac. mac pullies are cheaper but they haven't released them yet for the 02 GT..

You don't always have to get a chip to fix the speedo. Many places offer some type of calibration gear that you can use to fix your speedo. I"m not real sure the name of it, I was told I probably wouldn't need one w/ 3.73 gears, that they are mainly needed for 4.10's.

for 98+ mustangs, it's an electronic ratio adaptor...I found one at www.gefracing.com for $130. Chips to it too, though--if you're willing to spend the extra money.

Dont waste your money on 3.73's, get 4.10's. I have an 02 GT 5 speed, and I love my 4.10's(Daily driven car). Just my .02 cents
