I need some opinions.

Alright,i've been wanting to supercharge my car for a while now,but every way i look at it i won't be able to make too much power because i wouldn't wanna blow my block or nothing.So is there a way for me to add horsepower to my car while making it safer for high horsepower in the future?I also see people gain alot of HP on the 5.0s and older 4.6s with just new heads,but it seems like the never mustangs with the new PI heads don't have as many options.
