350z vs saleen S281

a guy here at work thinks he can take me, he has a new 350z, i have a 2000 S281, Non s/c...i think i would smoke the Z...it might be close on top end but down low i have the torque advantage..
what do you guys think?

Hate to say it, but he's probably got you. The 350Z only weighs about 3150# where you're 2000 S281 is probably more than 3400#. If his Z is anywhere around the HP that I've seen published for the Z, his HP/weight ratio is better than the S281. It wouldn't be a blowout though. It would be a tight race with professional drivers in each car, so if you can out-drive him you might be able to take the checkered.

Only way to know for sure is to take them to the TRACK. Let us know how it turns out.

This will be an easy kill for you they run low 14's at best.

They are no challenge for my 01' cobra........Its not even close.
