If my car had a neck, I'd strangle it!
OK, maybe not strangle it but she's really upsetting me! Beauty is a 99 GT and recently I'm having problems with her when it is chilly out side. While rolling to a stop (like 2 MPH when the engine temp is low) the tach will flucuate between 1 and .5 on the tach then she will die. This will happen up to 3 times everytime... I can only avoid it by reving while stopping. So some one tell me... WHATS WRONG WITH MY CAR?!?!?

Surging. I've heard of it before but not with the 99s.

I'd just take it back cause it's under warranty. Run a computer check.

My 95 GT was doing that last week when it was a little colder at night. It's fine now. If it only happens when the car is cold, let it warm up .

How full do you keep your tank when it's cold outside? It could be as simple as condensation in the fuel. It'd be worth putting in a .99 bottle of heat just to be sure.

I was having a similar problem. In the mornings when I would start it and take off immediately I would have a slight idle problem/fear of stall. Just let it warm up for a minute, blip the gas once or twice to bring the idle down, and everything should be okay.
