2nd gear troubles

Well, I just put the 373 gears in an now I have 2nd gear troubles. When I shift from first to second gear on a turn, the transmission kicks it out or gives a grind. The car is paid off, but I don't know if I should trade it in or fix it. If I fix it, would I be better off putting in a new, or different transmission? Or, Should I fix the problem and move on?

By the way the car is a: 1996 4.6L gt, 52000 miles on it, 373 gears, k&n, and never been wrecked!!!!! If that makes any difference in suggestions?

Has any one installed a tremec transmission?
I can put a take out t45 stock transmission with 20 miles on it for $1,200 labor and all, or I was wonder if I would be better off with the tremec which is about $1,700 for just parts!( bellhousing, tranny, and new clutch)?

To be honest I would'nt spend your loot on the T-45. If you never want to go through the same thing your going through now. Then I would spend the extra cash for the Tremec. Good luck.

any suggestion for better pricing for the tremec trans.? Has any one done this conversion before, and what can I expect?
