Question Help with offroad h pipe

I am having a hell of a time getting the stock H section of pipe off my car. I cant get to the bolts off the flang that connect the h pipe to the headers. It is too tight to get a socket up in there. How should I do this?

I had the same problem. You will just have to work at it for awhile. Get the car up in the air so you have plenty of room to work. I found it a bit easier if you have a swivel headed extension. My bolts ended up breaking on me and I just cut them off with a torch and put new ones on when I installed my offroad pipe.

Good Luck

A real long extension helps... I used one of my longer ones (24") and a swivel head w/ a deep socket, and a section of pipe on the ratchet, so I could get more torque to the bolts... good luck
