Question k & n air charger question on stock 00gt

ok my gt is bone stock,i bought a k&n off road air charger filter,im new to the modular engine will it help or hurt my preformance, it say's for racing use only, the rest of my car has everything else stock-anyone? hammer?-oh yes the bar code # is 63-1008, thanks anybody.
