limiter on the Mustang?

a guy at work said he was shooting the **** with a mechanic a the local ford shop, and within talking about performance parts on his focus, the mechanic pointed at the mustangs on the lot, 2002, and said that it is undisclosed that the mustangs have a limiter just behind the firewall that allows a gain of 30% when removed..... was the guy on crack, or is there something that we have just missed?

I'd sure love a free 60HP or so.

I smell something....... If you want to have some fun, have him go down to the dealer and get that "Mechanic" to show him the magical box that accomplishes this.. That should be good for a laugh or two. Hell, I would even bring along a pocket tape recorder and record the whole thing, just to laugh at later.....

To my knowledge there are only a couple of "limiters" on the Mustangs.....A rev limiter and a top speed limiter.......Both of these can be adjusted with a programmer on most models.........
