fastang's back!
We'll Im sure you all know about how my car ran badly a few weeks ago The car was surging horribly, detonating, and it REALLY wanted to stall in the mornings. So I went over my MAF instructions and they said that they supplied 2 different jumper connectors because with the C&L/Vortec unit you use your old sensor and jump 2 of the 4 wires. Well, it turns out that I had the wrong connector on my MAF, as soon as I switched it the car ran great.
I havent had a single race since I went to the track a few weeks back and after fixing my MAF I was lookin. I see a new Si with an exh a few cars up, so I catch up to see if its game. We pace eachother for a while when I hear ZZZT-TSSHH from his blow off valve. Now Im very interested, we hit about 70 when light ahead of us turns yellow...now we both should have went through but we both slammed the brakes and ended up half way into the intersection So we hit reverse and line em up. This is where it gets cool, I ask him him if he slapped a turbo on it and he replies "Yeah but this things got so much lag that it has NOO torque"! I said "Cool, Ill give you a car or so off the launch so you can build up your boost" He says thanks and the light turns green. I give him about a car and a half and launch, didnt powershift and caught him in second, by the top of 3rd I had about 3 cars on him. I slow down and when he passes me he gives me a thumbs up...no fly by or hard feelings. Thats the way it should be. ------------------ 95GT B303 cam, 1.7 rockers, 65mm TB, 73mm MAF, milled heads, 355's K&N, BBK Longtubes, Flowmaster cat back, pulleys, msd coil, 9mm wires, Tremec 3550, Pro5.0 shifter,10.5 Motorsport clutch, FMS aluminum driveshaft, weld in subframe connectors |

Thats awesome that you figured out what was wrong... It was just something simple... Does the car feel like 13's now?

I should have read this post before I replied to you other post.
You've got to hit the track soon. I want to know what you run. Depending on how you run I'll either go for heads and intake first or if you run real strong I'll do TB, cam, and some of the same stuff you've done. Good kill. You should drive up to Ottawa and kick some of Try Me's import friends Azzes ------------------ Driving: 1998 F-150 Far way in Edmonton==> 1995 Mustang GT |

Sky, Fixing my MAF made the driveability waay better, and Im sure that if I got a good launch with a 60 ft under 2 seconds I could hit a good 13 but it didnt make THAT much of a difference powerwise. Its probably 3 tenths quicker overall. Thats still a good bit. Cam, If I were you I would get 410's and the heads n intake. Or just get the Holley package. I wish I had more gear now that I have gotten used to them. I would realy like to put a stock cam back in my car and see if it turns better times. I might have went a little overboard. Dont buy a new TB untill you have the intake on it anyway, you stocker will be fine.

probably a little further than carlsbad from you. I think like 2 1/2 hours. roughly. try one of those map quest websites that tell you how to get there and how long it'll take. give you a pretty good idea! i've never been to the track but it supposed to be alot better than carlsbad. no off roading required! so let's set a date sky! anyone
