Post MAC Catback - Now I'm Frustrated!

Okay folks, now I'm getting frustrated.

A couple of weeks ago I put the MAC catback setup on my '96 Cobra (it sounds terrific). The clearance between the pipe and the floorpan just ahead of the passenger side muffler was EXTREMELY close, to the point of banging against it when I hit bumps. I spent 4 hours under the car last Saturday trying everything I could to adjust it, but no luck. It still hits the floorpan.

MAC says (of course) that they haven't heard of this problem. Any ideas? Maybe I shoulda just ponied up the cash for the Borla setup...I'm sure it fits perfectly.
