Red face Mac cold air kit

I have a auto 99GT and yesterday i installed a Mac cold air kit to the TB with the stock mass air and TB.Today at idle, i've notticed a little surge and fluctuation in my RPM's.
My fittings are all pretty tight. Is this normal?

Maybe your computer still needs to learn the new system. Did you take it out and put it through different driving conditions afterward. Or maybe you should disconnect your battery overnight to reset the computer.

Just a thought.

I had the batt disconnected for about two hours while i put it in ,and did an oil change on my car and my moms car. I didnt do much driving with it yet, but what driving I did was on the highway.I'll disconnect it and let it sit, then i'll try again. Thanks

When you had the battery disconnected for 2 hours, thats what did it. Your computer was reset. You just need to drive it around so the computer can "re-learn" itself.

Also, I'm sure you have driven it by now, did you notice anything.

Later, Jason

Unhappy

I havent notticed any improvement yet, but it has been pretty cold out since I put it on so the temp difference probably isnt big enough between the fendewell air and engine.
I'm also gunna try replacing the cone filter that came with it for a K+N and removing the driving light thats directly in front of the filter, with that gone the air should flow a lot better...I hope
