MAC Longtube Oil Problem???
I've been toying with the idea of getting some MAC Longtubes for my 2000 GT, but I was on Corral and noticed a post about oil problems involved with the MAC LT's. It seems that after the install, people are just burning oil to the tune of 1qt every 700 miles. This seems like a serious problem, and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the MAC LT's that could offer some insight..

From what I know about engines, putting on header of any sort will not make you burn oil. If you are burning oil it is because it is leeking in to the combustion chamber. This usually occurs from leaky valve seals and/or worn piston rings. You shouldn't have any problems with longtubes.
