That depends on what you think 'good power' is. The rice boys seem to think 120hp and 110 tq is good power after they waste a thousand dollars on an intake and 'a header'. The combo you mentioned would probably make about 270fwhp or approximately 220rwhp. Of course I am just ball park guessing because there are SO many other factors in there that decide the power an engine can make.. On an AOD, that's not bad power. My buddy hit low 13's with 235rwhp and an AOD. He has a built AOD with a good stall converter though.. might be something you want to invest in too.. I hope this helps.

I'm sure you want to pick up a few ponies as soon as possible...but.....
TRy getting a used intake already ported( i got my cobra w/ upper and lower both extrude honed for $425..same price as new untouched) I also just picked up a set of edelbrock aluminums..for $600. At least try to find iron GT-40's..(off a cobra) I bought a set one time for $300...get them decked and clean up the exhaust ports..you'll pick up quite a bit. My buddy runs 11.40's w/ cobra heads like i just said, GT-40 intake (unported), 5-speed, 125 dry shot, slicks, exhaust, suspension.... ------------------ 4.10's,long tubes & 75 shot...Goes 12.50's Check it out at http://www.burnouts.webprovider.com |
