Post mod motor classes

have you guys read the february issue of muscle mustangs and fast fords? in the thunder road section they talk about fun fords mod motor class. 2 events will pay 10,000 to win, the other eight will pay 7500 to win.with runners up gettin 2000 a piece, and semifinalists will get 500 bucks. i don't know about you guys, but who are they talking to? certainly not a regular guy, right? i mean right now the fastest mod motor is runnin in the 9's in a 93 coupe. do you guys run in the 9's? i didn't think so. so by tellin us this, what are they trying to do? drag us out just to get pounced by the big guns?
