Post Modular Shootout update

The Paxton/Steeda Modular Shootout Challenge announces that there will be a 6th and final class added to the event. All Ford Lightning trucks from 1993 and up will be allowed to enter the Lightning Eliminator class. This class will be a heads up class on a Pro Tree. The class is a run what your brung class, and does not have any restrictions. The payout for the class will be announced in late March or early April.

Spots for the classes are filling up fast! We have made a decision to lift the 100 car limit rule. We will accept more than 100 cars at the race, however the incentives to preregister early are clear. It only costs $15 to preregister before May 1. Registering now, guarentees that you will be included in the first 100 spots. Cars and trucks that are registered after the first 100 cars will pay more to participate. It will cost $50 to register after the first 100 spots are filled. Currently we have 67 cars registered at the present time. All cars are given a registration number upon receipt of the registration fee and form. This will be your confirmation number that you are in! If you have entered and not received a registration number, contact us at modshootout@home.com

Again to recap, The Paxton/Steeda Modular Shootout is proud to announce that the purse for all 6 classes has exceeded $11,000 including a Brand new
Paxton Novi 2000 to be awarded to the winner of the Paxton Street Bracket class!!!!! Our Sponsor list continues to grow rapidly, and includes Paxton, Steeda, Prichards Performance, Houston Performance, Dynotech Racing, Mickey Thompson, True Blue Performance, C&L Performance, Accufab, Amazon Racing, SRS PerFORDmance, and Clearfield Lincoln Mercury. We currently have 3 magazines covering the event and the top names in Modular Racing will be present to battle it out. As a reminder, there is a class that fits everyone. The Paxton Street Bracket class is designed for anyone to win regardless of ET time.

We hope to have the purse completed for the first 5 classes by the end of February. If anyone has any questions or comments regarding any event information you can contact Dave King at 412-279-2531 or at modshootout@home.com.

Again the date is July 1 at Cecil County Raceway in Rising Sun Maryland, and is considered one of the fastest tracks in the country. The facility includes all concrete pits & a full size track dryer for the ability to be able to dry the track quickly.

If anyone knows any performance shops or dealers that would like to vendor please let us know.

Thanks

Team Modular Shootout 2000
