Electrical power, where to splice?
Ok well I decided to at least run all the wires for the line-lock. I figured since I installed my Autometer gauges, how hard can this wiring be. Anyway, I need a 12volt source to run the power, and the install kit came with an inline fuse. Now, can I run that inline fuse to the same wire for my power windows or power door locks? I figure the windows only have power when I roll them up or down, and the line-lock should have power only when I engage the button. Am I thinking straight or am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated!

Although not the preferred place to tap into the power source, you can tap into the power window wire. Why not? If theres power there, take it. The window always has power to the switch on at least one wire, find the hot wire and use it. Of course, this will only work with the key turned back or forward(whenever the windows work)

Theres power constanly run to the windows but it doesn't use it till you press the button. I would wire it up to the fuse box behind the fuse thats for the tach and gauges. That way when ever the key is in the ON posistion the switch has pwer run to it and all you ahve to do is flip the switch.

Great thanx guys. I will finish this tomorrow. Had some stuff to do today. You happen to know which one is the hot one by chance for the gauges? If not I'll look it up in my Haynes manual.
